Why is honoring God with your resources a blessing and a priority for your family?

Entering our house, you will find Joshua 24:15 painted over the archway. It reads “But as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord”. For Tina and I honoring God with our resources is an opportunity to live out this verse. Specifically, it is an opportunity to:

Be obedient and faithful
Praise, worship and say thank you
Be good stewards reminding us we are God’s managers and not owners
Participate in God’s blessings and experience the joy of giving

Together, we made a decision early on in our marriage that we would seek to honor God with everything. Part of this included seeking to understand what God has to say about money and finances. It is amazing how clear God’s instructions are once you go to the bible. It has been said that our money shows a biography of what is really important to us and actually gives testimony to your family’s values.

Our family prayers often end by asking God to give us the courage to live like Jesus, to love like Jesus and to lead like Jesus. God is a giver and Jesus gave His all! We continue to find honoring God with our family’s resources is a privilege and a blessing.

Dear Collin Creek Family,

In the past 25 years, Collin Creek Community Church has faced several “IT’S TIME!” moments. At each of those we witnessed God moving in a significant way. That’s why I am looking forward to the opportunity that lies before us this spring.

The IT’S TIME Campaign is a response to a stirring from God in the hearts of the leadership of our church. We believe that the next 24 months will be a season of:

Holy Discontent
Unprecedented Evangelism
Generous Giving
Exponential Expansion

Do you have the faith to believe that five years from now…

We will have baptized hundreds of new believers?
We will have established 4 multi-site preaching points that will become Lifeline churches to their communities?
We will be worshipping our amazing God in a new worship center at the apex of our campus?

This spring our congregation is coming together to pray… to dream… to strategize… to mobilize… -- because God says, “It’s Time!”

It's Time Capital Campaign Goals

This is HUGE!

Over the next 24 months we are pursuing a HUGE Vision with a H.U.G.E. strategy:

HOLY DISCONTENT:
24 months of personal revival, innovative leadership and renewed passion for the expansion of God’s kingdom at Collin Creek Community Church

UNPRECEDENTED EVANGELISM:
Producing 100 baptisms and 100 new families added to our church fellowship

GENEROUS GIVING:
To tear down the $1.8 million owed on our current facilities and lay the groundwork for planning a new worship center on our campus

EXPONENTIAL EXPANSION:
To mobilize our multiplication efforts to launch 4 multi-site preaching points with CCCC’s Lifeline DNA

By eliminating our payments from what we have already accomplished we are fee to press on to what God is calling us to do in the future.

INTEREST SAVINGS
By accelerating our payments we will be saving thousands of dollars in interest over the remaining life of our mortgage with The Wesleyan Investment Foundation

MISSIONAL MARGIN
Less dollars going toward interest means more dollars available for other missional and ministry initiatives.

EXPERIENCING THE POWER OF FAITH & FELLOWSHIP
The campaign is designed to bring us closer to God and to one another as we work together as a faith community to invest in the health and mission of our church family.

On Sunday, April 17, we will each bring our commitment cards, indicating what we believe God would enable us to give over the next 24 months. Please begin praying now about your financial investment in the It’s Time Campaign and how God can use you to make a difference for time and eternity.

It's Time-Line

Throughout our 25 years, God has challenged us to take great steps of faith:

1985: God says, “It’s Time,” and Pastor Blair Ritchey accepts The Wesleyan Church’s invitation to plant a new church in the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex. He and his family relocate to Plano from their home in western PA.

1990: God says, “It’s Time,” and a young church secures control of 14 acres on Spring Creek Pkwy to establish a center for evangelism and ministry in what would become the heart of Plano.

1992: God says, “It’s Time,” and the first phase of a master-planned campus provides a new home for a growing congregation.

1998: God says, “It’s Time,” and a local church invests in its long-term missional future by establishing a premier assisted living center on the north edge of its campus.

2003: God says, “It’s Time,” and a $2.5 million Family Life Center provides a multi-purpose facility to minister more effectively to the families of our congregation and community.

2007: God says, “It’s Time,” and our Children’s Ministry Center opens its dynamic new ministry environment called KidzRock.
